I had a wonderful time here! A majority of the people patronizing and working here speak Spanish, but I'm sure that if you didn't you could still point to the things you want. Everything I ordered was delicious and extremely reasonably priced! They serve a wide array of pastries and savory lunch items. Although the store itself is rather small, there are some tables and stools to sit at if you wanted to enjoy your food there! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!!!

Small corner Mexican bakery with counter seating. Good coffee, and excellent pastries and empanadas. Pastel de guayaba (guava tart) was phenomenal, as was the bread pudding. Came here with a Rutger's student I was visiting, and we ordered four pastries and two empanadas. He got coffee, and was fully satisfied even though he's a coffee fanatic. I got ginger tea, which was perfect. Woman behind the counter was a gem: super-duper friendly and helpful. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to morning pastry stop, for sure.

I love this place. A real local eatery with simple but great food and super friendly staff. I stop in here every time i work in the area, which is only a few times per year, and the nice lady behind the counter still remembers me. Awesome Cuban sandwiches good tacos and a big variety of fresh made pastries with some nice ethnic flair. This is not a fancy place or a fancy neighborhood but places like this are the real deal.

Thanks a lot Sam. Best Empanads in the world! Amazing guy and even better food!

small inexpensive Dominican operated bakery and deli with a variety of tasty Latin American baked goods (the guava pastries and the chocolate coated cookies with pecans are simple but awesome), espresso drinks, various sandwiches including Cubans, tacos. Order at the counter there is a little seating on some stools. they make various fruit shakes (batidos), including the tasty Dominican favorite morir soñando. almost entirely Spanish speaking clientele, but if you don't speak Spanish or look obviously gringo like I do the staff will address you in English

Ok, when you call you have to be able to speak in Spanish, or go in person and maybe point to what you want if you do not. Fortunately, I speak some Spanish so I was able to get what I wanted. I went for Tres Leches cake but the ones they had all had pineapple and I didn't want that so I ordered one for the next day. Small cakes are $20 and larger cakes are $25. The cakes tastes pretty good. If you can get over not speaking English, then def try this place! The lady that I talked with was super nice and all the customers were pretty friendly with me as I ordered (it took a while).
